The 11 whites were on the Road to Enniskerry this morning full of confidence after two impressive recent wins.

But it was soon pretty clear that Rovers were gona have to work hard for three points today.

Both sides cancelled each other out for the first period of the game with both keepers being called into action and refusing to be beaten.

The break through finally came from Rovers when Nadal Kingne strode forward from centre half and pushed the ball through to Mikie O'Neill, Mikie turned his man brilliantly and finished clinically in the bottom corner.

Rovers held this narrow lead till half time.

It was much of the same in the second half until Enniskerry got a deserved equaliser, a cross come shot sneaking in at the Rovers front post.

Rovers stepped it up after the equaliser but were finding it hard to beat an inspired Enniskerry keeper.

Rovers had corner after corner which came to nothing but eventually one of Rovers corners paid dividends, a good delivery wasn’t cleared properly and when the loose ball dropped in the box Simon Lynch was on it in a flash to poke the ball home for a Rovers winner. An excellent game of football from two good sides, well done everyone.
