Our under 11 white team travelled to Newtown this morning for a friendly to blow off the cobwebs from the mid season break before next week's resumption.

The game was played under the new 9 a side format and there was little between the sides in the early stages.

Eventually Rovers started to get on top and some clinical finishing rounded off some lovely pass and move football and Rovers went in at half time with a comfortable lead.

The second half saw more of the same from Rovers but a spirited display from Newtown saw them get their rewards with some fine goals of their own in the second half. It was a good workout against a good Newtown Juniors side. The whites will be looking for a strong finish to the season.
