Our under 11 Whites made the short trip to Shamrock Park this morning for the latest instalment of regular clashes this season.
Again there was very little on the day between the two teams with the lead changing hands twice in the first half resulting in the hosts being in front by the narrowest of margins at half time.
The second half proved just as tight and Rovers threw everything they had at it to try and draw level but a Rathnew strike towards the end left Rovers with too much to do.
This was a great advert for underage football as both teams left nothing on the pitch and rounded off an excellent first half to the season for Rovers before the mid season break. Well done to both Rovers and our neighbours Rathnew for producing an excellent entertaining game.
