Our 13B's recorded a good 9-5 win over St Anthonys B at Finn Park today. They got off to a good start with Abdul Alhamad giving Rovers the lead, unfortunately disaster struck as the Kilcoole based team hit three unanswered goals to go 3-1 up. Rovers showed great character and were level before the half time break with goals from Sam Conyard and a cracker from outside the box from Milo Malcolmson. Just on the stroke of half time St Anthonys went back in front to make it 4-3 at the break. It wasn’t long into the second half before Rovers were level and then hit the front with a brace of goals from Abdul Alhamad to complete his hat trick. Cian Lynch then scored to make it 6-4 to Rovers but Anthonys straight from the restart reduced the deficit. In this high scoring game Rovers nabbed their seventh when Milo Malcolmson got his second of the game. Martha Lambert and Kale Conyard finished off the scoring for Rovers to cap off an excellent team display.
