Our senior ladies playing their first match in the WDFL drew 2-2 away to Newtown. Rovers took the lead through Sinéad Keogh in the first half but were pegged back just before half time. The second half was a lively affair and Rovers went 2-1 up around the hour mark with a great effort from Emilie Ryan Doyle. Rovers continued to press but they suffered a number of injuries as this was their third match in five days and the tiredness showed towards the end allowing Newtown in for the equaliser just before full time. A great performance again from all the girls with Jade Manley standing out giving a player of the match performance in a strong defence.
