The under 13B’s played St Anthonys this morning at Whitegates. Both teams went into this level on points in the league standings so the three points were crucial. Rovers got off to a great start with Alex Zevatski scoring a really well worked team goal. Unfortunately shortly after St Anthonys came back into the game and scored two quick goals to hit the front. Rovers came out all guns blazing in the second half, Alex Zevatski got Rovers back level at 2-2 then he went on to complete his hat trick and bring his tally to six for the season to nose Rovers in front. Rovers kicked on and David Quinn then scored the goal of the game beating a defender on the edge of the box, then curling a cracker into the top corner. Alex Zevatski then won his side a penalty after been taken down in the box, Abdul Alhamad stepped up to take it and scored to make it 5-2 and a great morning's work from this young Rovers team capturing three very valuable points.
