The under 18's entertained Arklow United at Whitegates tonight and they turned in a very impressive display. Rovers played some good football to start off and created several good chances. Mikey Merrigan started and finished off a great team move culminating with a fine header from a right side cross. Mikey Merrigan quickly added a second with a shot from the right side to see Rovers go in at the break 2-0 in the lead. Rovers put the game beyond Arklow when Zach Harris scored early in second half to make it 3-0 with Ben Patterson adding a fourth to give Rovers a 4-0 victory and all three points.

Rovers were unlucky not to add to their tally as they attacked at will and had other chances. This proved to be an excellent team performance with every player playing their part.
