Our U11 & U12 troops returned home from their adventures at the Wales Cup on Monday evening. All four teams (pictured below) participated in games over Saturday and Sunday and were presented with their participation and runners up medals by Liverpool and Irish footballing legend Mark Lawrenson. The club would like to thank each and every one of the kids for their exemplary behavior both on and off the field throughout the weekend. They did themselves, their families and the club proud and were an absolute pleasure to manage. A huge thanks for the travelling support from the families who could almost be heard from Wicklow head cheering on the teams. Thanks to the coaches for overseeing the matches and brilliantly representing the club. The trip was 8 months in planning and we are all indebted to Ian O’Callaghan, Tómas Morrissey and Colin Hindle who orgainised the trip for the party of 125 kids and parents. These three musketeers left no stone uncovered and the trip ran smoothly from start to finish. It was a pleasure to witness the team bonding amongst all four teams over the weekend and hopefully the kids now have memories that will last a lifetime.
