Our 13B’s made the short journey to take on neighbours Ashford Rovers tonight at Ballinalea Park. After a thrilling encounter the home team won out on a 4-2 scoreline. Ashford raced into an early two goal lead but the Wicklow team showed their battling qualities to fight back to level matters. Abdul Alhamad found the net for the fifth time this season with Alex Zevatski scoring his first of the campaign to send them in at the break at 2-2. Ashford regained the lead in the second half when they netted their third and with Wicklow pushing for an equaliser Ashford hit them on the break in the last minute to put the game to bed winning 4-2. Well done to both teams on providing a highly entertaining match.
