Our under 12A’s suffered their first defeat of the season last night when they went down 2-1 to a very good Newtown Juniors side at Whitegates. The lads went into the game with the title all wrapped up and from the first minute it was Newtown who were the hungrier as they were in the running for runners up spot. Both teams had several chances but on the balance of clear cut chances Newtown deserved their victory. Tommy Morrissey nabbed the Rovers goal as the lads will now look to bounce back in the shield and National cup. Well done to both sides on a closely fought encounter.
