Our under 11 Blue team lost 5-3 away in the Jimmy Hackett Shield to St Anthonys. The move back to 7 a side didnt suit the Rovers team with such a large squad to utilise. Saying that the team played very well but just got outrun on the day. Rovers went one nil up with a well taken penalty from Finn Murphy, but three quick fire goals from the home side saw Rovers 3-1 down. A fine finish from Seb Gould saw Rovers get back in it but Anthonys went 5-2 up to give the home side breathing space. Rovers never gave up and pulled one back when Kai Jameson got a good goal to make it 5-3 but try that they did Rovers could not get the deficit back and game finished 5-3 to Anthonys. A good all round team performance from the team.
