A top of table clash took place this evening when League leaders Rathnew made the short trip in the road to Whitegates to take on our 12A's. And what an entertaining game of football it turned out to be. It was end to end with goal mouth clearances, near misses and a fantastic display of defending by both sets of players.

Both teams had chances to win it but had to settle for the most entertaining 0-0 that Whitegates might ever have witnessed.

Our boys in green needed a win to keep their chances of a league title in their own hands but Rathnew are now in the driving seat. Our boys left every ounce of effort on the pitch tonight and their coaches could ask no more of them. Thanks to Rathnew for a great game of football.
