What a magnificent start to the summer! The first week of the Wicklow Rovers Summer Football Camp has just wrapped up, and it was nothing short of spectacular. With the beautiful summer sun gracing us all four days, conditions were absolutely perfect for playing football, and the energy on the pitches at Whitegates was infectious!
Our very own Johnny Dunne was at his usual best, inspiring every child, ensuring they followed their coaches' guidance, and, most importantly, making sure everyone had an absolute blast! The camp was a whirlwind of fun, packed with countless matches, exciting drills, and the development of essential football skills.
A huge thank you goes to Trevor Conyard for his fantastic work in organising such a brilliant lineup of coaches. We were thrilled to have James Macklin, one of our history-making first-team coaches, join the camp. He brought an extra layer of inspiration, sharing tales and insights from the Senior Men's recent quadruple triumph, undoubtedly igniting the dreams of our young participants!

Also a special mention to Claire Foley, who ensured all the lads had their jerseys when they joined the camp and expertly took care of the administrative side of things.
It was truly heart warming to witness the beaming smiles on the faces of all the kids, enjoying their summer break, honing their skills, and making unforgettable memories with their buddies. This was just Week 1, and the excitement is already building!
Get ready, because an even bigger and more thrilling Week 2 is just around the corner, kicking off this coming Monday, July 14th, 2025! We're looking forward to it already!
