Rovers under 14B's took on Enniskerry in the trophy final this afternoon, Rovers were missing a good few players today due to holidays so their task was going to be tough. Rovers went a goal down after five minutes, Enniskerry extended their lead shortly after and then added a few quick goals to put themselves in a commanding position. Rovers were playing against a strong wind which didn’t help and when they reached the half time interval they found themselves 6-0 down. The lads came out in the second half and pushed Enniskerry back, Cian Lynch went close on a few occasions. Rovers then pulled one back with Cian Lynch hitting the net. Straight away after the tip Rovers got a free kick 30 yards out and up stepped Max Tkac-Sado with a great effort putting the ball just past the post. Then things got worse for Rovers when they lost two lads to injury. After that Enniskerry added a few more goals, but to be fair to the lads they didn’t give up. Enniskerry ran out comfortable trophy winners. Well done Enniskerry and thanks for a good game. Players who stood out on the day were Jack Barry, Turlough Byrne, James Gurrie and Cian Lynch ,
