Our under 14B team were away to a strong Glencormac side tonight, the game started off well for the lads, but fifteen minutes in Glencormac took the lead with a disputed goal as it looked like it wasn't over the line. The Rovers keeper got a good hand to it which looked like he had saved it but the ref gave the goal. Rovers kept going to get one back but an over the top ball let Glencormac in for a second. Just after that Rovers got a free kick outside the box, up stepped David Quinn to take it, with the ball heading into the top corner the keeper got a hand to it but James Cummins was there to knock it in to send the teams in at half time with Glencormac 2-1 up. The lads came out in the second half strong, pushing Glencormac hard with Cian Lynch just putting one past the post. Rovers kept going and were very unlucky not to get a second. With about five minutes left Rovers got caught on the ball and let Glencormac in for the third to make it 3-1 to kill off the game. Great game to watch by all accounts, the lads gave it a hundred percent. Impressive players on the day were Max Hennessy, Jack Barry, James Gurrie , Kian Copeland and Simon Vovk.
