The under 14A's recorded a 2-0 win at home against St Anthonys. It was a tight encounter today between two strong sides. Rovers got the opener half way through the first half when Wolsey Sloan Kelly was quick to convert in the box after the ball rebounded out after a great free kick from Rhys Behan. The teams kept pressing with no real chances until Nj Sinnot scored a curler straight from a free kick from outside of the box in the middle of the second half. St Anthony didn't give up and got a penalty with five minutes left on the clock when a clear goal chance opportunity was denied with a hand ball. Rovers keeper Ted Hasler was phenomenal though to save the penalty and Rovers made it through the final minutes left with ten men in what was an excellent team display. Well done Rovers and St Anthonys on a fine game of football.
