The 13A’s kicked off their season with an excellent 4-1 home victory over Arklow United. The whole team played really well in a new formation with three at the back, all 16 players played their part. Richie Carton and David McCormack(debut) got a brace each and really combined well. The back line defended well and played out from the back really nicely, with Sam Czwalina pulling off a couple of smart saves at crucial times in the game. Harry Kavanagh sat in front of the defence and went about his buisness well, earning the man of the match accolade. The new players who came into the squad this year Robbie McCoy, Kuba Cielecki, Jack Madden and David McCormack all settled in nicely with the team and the team showed a great team spirit throughout. Thanks to Arklow United for a really tough game.
