Our Senior Ladies team kicked off life in Division 1 with a bang on Sunday, delivering a dominant performance to secure a sensational 6-2 victory against Bree United!
Following on from last season's fantastic Division 2A title triumph and promotion, the ladies showed zero signs of stepping back, proving immediately that they belong right at this higher level.

First-Half Control & Second-Half Stunners
Rovers took control of the contest in the first half, laying down a solid marker thanks to well-taken goals from Sinead Keogh and Niamh O'Brien to build a strong platform.

The second half saw Rovers hit top gear in attack. Niamh O'Brien was unstoppable, striking twice more after the break to complete a brilliant hat-trick!
The moment of the match came shortly after with absolute quality: Rhiannon Wynne unleashed a sensational volley—the undisputed goal of the day—that gave the keeper no chance. Molly Sweeney then capped off a memorable team performance by slotting home our sixth goal.

Bree United pulled two back late on—one from the penalty spot and another in the dying minutes—but the outcome was never in doubt as Rovers comfortably claimed all three points.

A huge well done to all the players and management on an outstanding start to the Division 1 campaign!
