In a relentless, end-to-end clash under the September sun, Wicklow Rovers U15A delivered a statement 2–0 victory over league leaders Aughrim at Finn Park. With both squads fielded without a single substitute on the bench, the fixture demanded complete commitment from every player on the pitch from the opening whistle.
  
Rovers wasted no time setting the tempo. Barely 60 seconds into the match, Matthew Gough unlocked Aughrim’s defense with a sharp through ball, setting up Mikie O'Neill for a clinical finish to put the hosts ahead 1–0.  

With players on both sides slotting into unfamiliar positions to cover gaps, the match turned into a gritty test of endurance. Despite the warm weather and the lack of fresh legs off the bench, Rovers held their shape and took a deserved lead into halftime.  

If Aughrim hoped to reset after the break, Rovers shattered those plans instantly. Just 30 seconds into the second half, Rovers intercepted an Aughrim goal-kick. Stand-in captain Mikie O'Neill latched onto the opportunity, producing a stunning strike to notch his second of the day and extend the lead to 2–0.  

Aughrim pressed for a way back, but Rovers refused to yield. A standout late save from keeper Ben Morrissey protected the advantage, securing a second consecutive win and a second clean sheet in the space of a week.
