Wicklow Rovers U12 Bs produced another impressive display of attacking football and strong teamwork to claim a convincing 6-3 victory away to Wicklow Town at Finlay Park.
Building on the momentum from last week’s excellent win, the Rovers side arrived full of confidence and quickly imposed themselves on the contest. From the outset the visitors showed superior organisation, sharper movement and a clear understanding between players that made them difficult to contain.
Oscar Moriarty was in clinical form, netting a superb hat-trick that underlined his quality in front of goal. Tom Keating added two well-taken strikes of his own, while Parth Sharma got on the scoresheet with a fine finish to complete the scoring for Rovers. Wicklow Town fought hard and managed three goals of their own. Credit must go to the home side for their never-say-die attitude and for making it a competitive game.
Particularly outstanding performances came from Lee Jameson, Alessandro Marini and Elias O’Neill, who all put in strong, energetic displays that helped drive the team forward and maintain control. Their work rate, positional discipline and contribution to both attack and defence were key factors in the result.
Overall it was an excellent team performance marked by good football, clinical finishing and solid collective effort. Wicklow Rovers continue to show real progress and will look to carry this form into their next outing.
