A tough afternoon for our U15s, who battled hard but came up short against a clinical Arklow United side.
Arklow started quickly and took the lead in the 4th minute before Wicklow responded brilliantly just three minutes later. Will Carey stepped up and buried a superb free kick to level the match at 1–1. However, Arklow regained control soon after, scoring three quick goals to lead 4–1 by the 17th minute.
To their credit, the Wicklow lads kept working for the full 70 minutes and were rewarded late on. In the 68th minute, AJ Long produced a fantastic assist for Casey Brennan, who finished well to pull one back and make it 4–2.
Plenty of positives to take from the effort and determination shown right to the final whistle. 💪⚽
