This evening saw an intra-club clash as the Wicklow Rovers U14C and U14B teams faced off in a WDSL League 1 match at Whitegates.
The game was played with great spirit and competitiveness. It was the B team that struck first, with Nathan Vickers scoring in the 18th minute, marking his second goal in three games. The first half was a tight affair, with little to separate the two sides, and the score remained 1-0 at halftime.
The second half continued in a similar vein until the re-introduction of Casey Brennan up front proved to be a game-changer. Brennan made an immediate impact, doubling the B team's lead on 50 minutes and then adding a second goal just seven minutes later, sealing a 3-0 victory for the U14 B team.
There were several standout performances throughout the match. Daniel Brennan and Casey Brennan impressed, while Davi Loboschi earned a well-deserved Man of the Match award.
A big thank you goes out to all the players for participating in such a competitive game, and everyone is looking forward to the reverse fixture.
