Wicklow Rovers U14A travelled to Back Alley to face Carnew in the U14 Premier league, and they delivered a dominant performance, winning 7-0.
From the kickoff, Rovers were on the front foot, and their pressure paid off in the 2nd minute when Mikie O'Neill found the corner of the goal.
Rovers continued to dictate the pace, and on 11 minutes, Eoghan Daye was fouled in the box and converted the resulting penalty. Mikie O'Neill struck again on 16 minutes, courtesy of a brilliant defense-splitting pass from Simon Lynch.
The second half saw Rovers maintain their intensity, with AJ Long setting up James Carroll for a powerful finish on 39 minutes. Daniel Clarke added a fifth goal on 46 minutes with well executed back flick, following a well timed pass from Will Carey.
Jack Collins scored from a cracking long range free kick from halfway, and Alex Philipon sealed the victory with a direct corner kick on 53 minutes.
