Rovers U12C hosted Arklow Town C this morning at the Rocky Road in a highly entertaining and keenly contested match.
Arklow Town C started the stronger side, racing into a 2-goal lead. Despite the Rovers rearguard being busy throughout the first half, they went into the break trailing 3-1.
Rovers showed a lot of spirit in the second half, but it wasn't enough to overcome the deficit. The game finished with Arklow Town C winning 6-3.
This was Rovers' first outing of the season, and there were plenty of positives to take from the game. Thanks to Arklow Town C for the game, and best of luck to them for the rest of the season.
There were some standout performances for Rovers from Alex Mullen, Sophie Byrne, Jack Dowling, and Logan Byrne.
