Wicklow Rovers U10 Yellows marked their return to action with a pulsating encounter against Ashford Rovers. The game was packed with drama and excitement from start to finish.
Ashford Rovers started strongly, taking a 3-1 lead. However, Wicklow Rovers showed great character and determination to fight back. Displaying some excellent football, they clawed their way back into the match, leveling the score at 3-3. JK Bolger and debutant Sam Bewley, who scored a brace, were the goalscorers for Wicklow Rovers.
With the game finely balanced, Wicklow Rovers pushed hard for a winner. Unfortunately, their efforts went unrewarded, as Ashford snatched a late winner with the last kick of the game.
