Our men's senior C team were back to league action this morning , taking on Arklow Celtic. It was a very closely battled first half with little chances from both sides. The second half saw Rovers start to dominate, but Arklow were a tough team to break down as the lads struggled to test the goalkeeper.

On the 85th minute, it was Arklow who nearly found the winner but goalkeeper Pat Sammon made a wonderful 1v1 stop to keep the scoreline level. 

In the 90th minute Rovers had a corner and the ball landed to Trevor Conyard on the edge of the box and he brilliantly placed it into the bottom corner to give the Rovers the 3 points and back to back wins in the league!
