Wicklow Rovers Ladies put on a dominant display today at Whitegates, defeating Ballindaggin 7-0 in their WWSL League 2A clash. It was a perfect response after last week's narrow defeat, propelling the team back into 3rd place in the league!
Molly Sweeney was the star of the show, bagging an incredible FIVE goals and adding an assist! Lisa Doyle also got on the scoresheet, as did substitute Katie Murphy. Captain Sinead Keogh was instrumental in the attack, providing three assists.
The solid back line of Kristen Turney, Anne Murphy, Katelyn Dunleavy, and Anne Marie Manning provided a strong foundation for the win, while Aisling McDonald and Aoife Caffrey created numerous chances from the wings. Despite the scoreline, the Ballindaggin keeper put in a fantastic performance. Aisling McDonald was unlucky to hit the post twice.
It was a comprehensive victory for the Rovers Ladies, showcasing their attacking talent and determination to climb the league table.
