Our U13's made the long trip to Athlone today to take on St.Joseph's in the 4th Round of the National Cup. The boys came up short, losing out to a very strong St.Joseph's outfit that will take some beating in this tournament.
Will Carey registered for Rovers with a well struck free kick in what was a disappointing day for the boys. But the lads have accounted for themselves excellently in this tournament in reaching the last eight of the region and they can hold their heads high.
The very best of luck to St.Joseph's in the remainder of the competition and for their season.
Up next for our crew is an other tough assignment but one to look forward to as the boys take on St.Pats U14's next weekend in the Shield Final.
