Our U14s squad finished their season on a high with a thrilling 5th place playoff victory against Aughrim at Whitegates.  The match was a tense affair that ended 2-2 after normal time, with Mathas Ariminas and Dan Connolly grabbing the goals for Rovers.

In a true display of teamwork and determination, every player contributed to a fantastic performance.  The game was closely contested throughout, with both teams creating chances.

Ariminas opened the scoring for Rovers with a well-taken goal, but Aughrim responded quickly to level the score.  Connolly then restored Rovers' lead with a powerful strike, but Aughrim once again found an equalizer, sending the game to a penalty shootout.

In the shootout, the Rovers players showed nerves of steel, converting their penalties with confidence to secure the win.  It was a fitting end to a season that saw the team overcome numerous challenges.

A special mention must go to the U13 players who stepped up to help the team throughout the season.  Their commitment and dedication allowed the U14s to complete their campaign and achieve a strong finish.

The coaches, Kevin and Mossey, would like to express their sincere gratitude to all the parents and players for their incredible support throughout the season.  The team spirit and dedication shown by everyone involved has been truly remarkable.

With the season now concluded, planning is already underway for next year.  The future looks bright for this talented group of players!
