Our U14s faced a tough test today in their rescheduled SFAI National Cup match against St Francis (Athlone).  In spite of the loss of home advantage after last week's storm, the lads showed tremendous courage and determination throughout the match.

The first half saw Rovers dominate possession and create numerous chances, but unfortunately, we couldn't convert them into goals. St Francis, to their credit, made the most of their opportunities, forcing our goalkeeper, Sam Czwalina, into a number of smart saves.

Despite our best efforts, we couldn't find the clinical edge needed to secure a victory, and the match ultimately went to penalties.  All our penalty takers showed great bravery, but St Francis proved just a bit more clinical from the spot, securing their place in the next round.

We're incredibly proud of our U14s for their performance today.  They battled hard despite the challenges and never gave up. A special shout-out to Lucas from our U13 team, who stepped up and played exceptionally well.

We also wish Tiernan a speedy recovery from his injury and hope it's nothing too serious.
