Our U12B team showed incredible heart and determination last night, putting in a valiant effort against St Anthony's A team away at Finn Park. Despite being a depleted squad of just nine players, including a brave U11 call-up, the Rovers fought tooth and nail until the final whistle, ultimately falling 2-1.

St Anthony's dominated the first half, peppering our goal with shots, but Alex Doyle in goal stood tall, putting on a masterclass in shot-stopping to keep the scores level at halftime.

The second half saw the Rovers grow into the game, creating chances of their own, with JD Delahunt leading the charge. However, two fortunate breaks for St Anthony's saw them take a 2-0 lead midway through the half.
Undeterred, JD responded immediately with a brilliant solo goal, reigniting hope for an equalizer.

The Rovers pushed hard, but despite their best efforts, couldn't find the back of the net again.

This was a remarkable performance from a depleted squad who never gave up. Special recognition must go to Alex Doyle, whose world-class saves kept us in the game for so long. We couldn't be prouder of the lads for their fighting spirit and the way they represented the club.
