Wicklow Rovers U15A team emerged victorious in a tense local derby against Rathnew tonight, securing a 1-0 win at Shamrock Park.  The Rovers dominated the game from start to finish, but a resilient Rathnew keeper kept them at bay for most of the match.

Wave after wave of Wicklow attacks crashed against the Rathnew defense, but the home side's goalkeeper seemed unbeatable, pulling off a string of spectacular saves to keep the score level.  

The Rovers' persistence finally paid off in the dying moments of the match, when Wolsey Sloan Kelly rose above the defense to head home a pinpoint cross from Abdul Alhmad, sparking wild celebrations amongst the travelling Wicklow supporters.

It was a hard-fought victory that showcased Wicklow's dominance and their ability to break down a stubborn defense.  Rathnew battled bravely and their goalkeeper deserves immense credit for his performance.

This win is a fantastic start to the second half of the season for our U15s, and we look forward to seeing them build on this momentum in the weeks to come.
