Today was a bad day at the office for the under 12C team at home to Enniskerry on a lovely sunny morning down on Whitegates going down 6-1. Unfortunately for ourselves, we were missing both our goalkeepers, which was a big blow before kick off having to reshuffle the whole pack. Big credit to the group again, they played an excellent first half and kept the score at 1-1 going in at halftime with a lovely goal from Billy Nolan. It was an excellent first half and the scoreline was a strong reflection on how close the game was. Unfortunately in the second half and more reshuffling, we found ourselves up against it after Enniskerry got their second and third goals but credit to the players we had our chances as well but failed to convert them . As the game wore on Enniskerry were not letting up and continued to take their chances. Unfortunately for us we have to take our medicine but this won't define how brilliant this group have been in the first half of the season. There is no doubt had we had our keepers this scoreline would have been alot closer. That shouldn't take anything from Enniskerry they deserved their win and have some very talented players, and we wish them the best of luck in their cup final next week. Marc would like to take the chance to thank all our players for the brilliant effort they put in every week no matter what the outcome. They will have a lovely break now before coming back to us to go again. Thanks to all the parents for their continued support from the sidelines. Cya's all soon 👍⚽️
