Our under 13C's looked to build on last week's good result when they travelled to top of the table Ashford this morning. Ashford made all the play from the start and scored early on through a free kick, which was hit high over the despairing Wicklow keeper Loukas Karamalis. Ashford added two quick goals after this, and the contest was finished by half time. 
Credit to Wicklow though, they made a game of it in the second half and scored a fine goal through Aaron Lynn after good passing in midfield. They pressed on after this and, on another day, could have scored at least one more goal. Ashford added to their tally before the final whistle. A tough result to take but we will go again next week.
