Our Under 12C team lost 3 - 1 last night in the cup semi finals away to Enniskerry. After a slow start we found ourselves 2-0 down early on, but hit back with a couple of very good strikes from Billy Nolan and Bella Connolly, who were unlucky not to score. The game evened up, but unfortunately, Enniskerry nabbed a third goal from what looked like an offside position. This gave Rovers a mountain to climb in the second half. After a good positive team talk and a brilliant reaction from the team, Rovers attacked the second half with a great attitude, and deservedly got a goal back through Pradyan Pravish with a lovely left foot finish just inside the box. We pushed on for the second and thought we had it through Billy Nolan only for a hand ball in the build up led to the goal been chalked off. From then on Rovers continued to push but credit to Enniskerry who defended well and their keeper made some good saves, which was enough to see them go on and win the game. We'd like to thank Enniskerry for a good competitive game and wish them luck in the final.
