Our under 12C team were unlucky away to St Anthonys today. Anthonys took the lead after only ten minutes, but it seemed to kick start Rovers, who went straight on the attack with Bella Connolly first to sting the hands of the Anthonys goalkeeper and was unlucky not to score. Billy Nolan was next to find himself in a 1v1 situation only for the Anthonys keeper to make another fine save. After a slow start to the half, we were very happy coming in at half time with the improvement shown from the team. We came out strong in the second half and again it was the Anthonys keeper holding us off, denying Tomas Cunha with a good shot and again Billy Nolan with another 1v1. Unfortunately, it was Anthonys who got the second goal of the game with a quick breakaway goal against the run of play. Credit to our kids, they kept on going and never gave up. Anthonys completed the scoreline with the last kick of the game to make it 3-0. Thanks to St Anthonys for the game ⚽
