The club have recieved the request below to support Wicklow Cancer Support in their endeavors to secure funding from the AIB Community Fund. The club would like to fully support WCS and are requesting that all members please assist by nominating them as per the message below.

For the last 20 years, Wicklow Cancer Suppport has been providing practical and emotional support services to individuals and families affected by a cancer diagnosis in Wicklow, Rathnew, Ashford, Glenealy, Brittas Bay, Redcross, Barndarrig, Newtown Mt. Kennedy, Kilcoole, Newcastle and the surrounding areas.  All of our support work is financed by fundraising and donations from within our local community. 
 
We are currently trying to access funding from the AIB €1M Community Fund and our success depends on the number of nominations we receive from within our community.  We would greatly appreciate your help in achieving this by asking that you circulate our appeal as widely as possible within your club, on social media and among your family and friends.
 
Our support services include transport of clients to and from hospital treatments and appointments, Counselling, Reflexology, Massage, Peer support groups, Chair Yoga, Meditation and the Art Group.  In the last 12 months, demand for some services has increased by between 20-30%.  We pride ourselves on being flexible to meet the needs of each individual situation and we invite your club community to nominate us for the AIB €1M Community Fund to enable us to provide these much needed and highly valued support services.   
 
Nominations take place between Wednesday, 8th May and 12th June, 2024.
