Our under 12C team had a very good performance away in Enniskerry taking home a point after a 1-1 draw. In tough conditions against a hill and a very strong wind in the first half both teams were doing their best to adjust to the weather and after twenty minutes Enniskerry took the lead with a shot into the bottom corner. Rovers responded in a positive manner and were very unlucky not to equalise when Billy Nolan saw his well struck free kick come back off the cross bar from 20 yards out. One nil down at half time, the team regrouped and came out very quick from the kick off, scoring an equaliser after only a few minutes through a lovely 25 yard shot from Tomas Cunha. Both teams were creating chances with Davey Driver in great form for Rovers. A dangerous corner by Bella Connolly fell to Pravan Pravish, who hit a lovely volley from the edge of the box only for the Enniskerry keeper to make a good save. Billy Nolan was next to try his luck from distance with a great shot only again to be denied by the Enniskerry keeper. In the end a draw was a fair result in an evenly matched contest. Once again the whole squad played their part in a great game of football and another very positive result.
