Our under 13B's continued their recent good form against St Anthonys A this morning with a hard earned 1-0 win on the Rocky Road. On a very heavy pitch, there was little between the sides, and the first half remained scoreless. Rovers made use of their bench and rotated players, and it was the re-introduction of Lukas Araminas that made the difference in the 45th minute. Araminas reacted first to a ball that dropped in the box to slot home what would prove to be the winner. Rovers defence has been in great form of late and have now not conceded in their last three matches, but today was a complete team performance with each and every player giving their all for this result. Rovers had further chances to extend their lead, but the game finished 1-0. In what was an excellent all round team performance Michael Carroll earned the man of the match accolade from his fellow players. Thank you to St Anthonys for a very competitive match, and we look forward to the return fixture.
