Our WDFL C team played Rathnew at Whitegates this afternoon. Rathnew were top of the league with 8 wins from 8, so it was always going to be a tough game for Rovers.

An early goal seen Rathnew take the lead after a great finish. Ten minutes later, another great goal from outside the box saw Rathnew go two up. Rovers always stayed in the game and made it competitive against the league leaders but in the last 15 minutes Rathnew added another two goals to make it 4-0 on the day.
