The senior ladies are really enjoying life in the Wexford League. In their first season competing in the league they are having a great season to date. Currently seating on top of the league they made it to the final of the Divisional Shield today with an excellent 3-2 away victory over Oylegate United. What made the win equally impressive was the fact that last week the sides drew 1-1 at the same venue, so two weekends running a long journey to Oilgate was not what the doctor ordered. To the girls credit, they knuckled down and went about their business in a professional manner and were rewarded with a place in the final. Louise Corrigan kept her nerve firing home from the penalty spot to bring her tally for the season to sixteen, Sinead Keogh nabbed her third of the campaign and Aisling McDonald scored her first of the season to book their passage through to the final. In truth every girl in the squad gave it a hundred percent and played their part in this excellent win. Well done Paul Tom and the ladies and we wish you the very best of luck in the final and the remainder of the season.
