The senior C team were the only team in the senior section to see action at the weekend. They took on promotion chasing Avonmore B at Whitegates this afternoon.

The lads got off to the perfect start when Lorcan Sinnott fired them in front but before the half time break Avonmore levelled matters from the spot.

The second half saw Avonmore totally dominate proceedings and fire home four unanswered goals to run out 5-1 winners. It was chalk and cheese from Rovers, very good in the first half and never in it in the second period.
