Our senior C team took on St. Patricks at Whitegates in the first round of the Wicklow Cup.

St Patricks are a league above Rovers, so it was going to be a tough test, but Rovers were up for the challenge and were the better team in the first half which ended 0-0. A closely contested battle all game was ultimately going to be decided by whoever scored first. Unfortunately, that was St Patricks who scored on the hour mark, which was followed up with an own goal to make it 2-0.

It was an encouraging performance from the lads against stiff opposition with plenty to build on back in the league next week .

Rovers would like to wish St Patricks the best of luck in the next round and also the club would like to wisg speedy recoveries to Rovers players Cormac Marnane and Ingvard Hanssen.
