The senior ladies played their last game before the Christmas break at home against Bunclody missing five players due to sickness. The first half didn't go to plan as Bunclody scored 2 goals in the first 15 minutes. This spurred the girls to push forward, Sinead Keogh played a through ball to Molly Sweeney, who beat the defence, and got her shot off, but it hit the post. Five minutes later, Sophie Byrne crossed the ball into the back post where Lucy McGettigan got her header towards goal, but somehow, the Bunclody keeper got her hand to it. It was starting to feel like it was one of those days that we wouldn't have the luck of the breaking ball. It remained 0-2 at half time. From the start of the second half, the ladies pressed high looking for the opening goal, which eventually came from Molly Sweeney. Fifteen minutes into the second half Rovers had gone down to 10 players, but everyone dugged in deep, and got the second goal of the game when Molly Sweeney fired home her second of the match. They kept pushing for a third, but it didn't come. They end this half of the season unbeaten in the league. Team: Amy Kavanagh, Rachel Bryne, Anne Muprhy, Louise Johnson, Natasha McCoy Ward, Sophie Byrne, Niamh Caffrey, Sinead Keogh, Emma Waters, Lucy McGettigan, Molly Sweeney and Elaine Kileen.
