Our WDFL C team proudly sponsored by Core Homes Ltd took on Coolboy Rangers at Whitegates this afternoon. Rovers were looking to build on their first 3 points of the season last time out against Arklow Town.

An early error at the back seen Coolboy take the lead after 10 minutes. Rovers created the chances and were comfortably on top but the visitors kept their lead into half time. The second half remained the same with Rovers on top and a brilliant freekick from Liam Kavanagh in the 80th minute drew Rovers level.

In the 92nd minute Shane Lincoln delivered a corner which seen James Byrne get on the end of it to make it 2-1 to Rovers. The game seemed to be won but a very controversial penalty in the 100th minute of the game seen the game end 2-2. A disappointing end for the lads who deserved the win.

The lads take on Glenealy on Thursday night at Whitegates and will look to continue with the positive results in the last match before Christmas
