On Thursday night, our senior C team played against Arklow United at Whitegates.

Rovers started the game much the better team and were unlucky not to take the lead when Alex Earls hit the post early on. A tightly contested game saw the first half end 0-0.

The second half was as tight as the first and again Alex Earls was unlucky to not give Rovers the lead as his goal was ruled out for offside. With 20 minutes to play Arklow scored one of their few chances of the night from a corner which saw them take a 1-0 lead. Arklow added a second towards the end of the game to make it 2-0 and take home the 3 points on the night.
