Our under 14A's recorded an excellent 6-2 win today at home to Shillelagh. Rovers had an excellent first half with many chances and four goals scored. Sam Goodbody fired home two well taken goals with two fine assists from Giorgio Morgillo-Fidyk. The third goal was a screamer from Alex Zevastki, who finished to the top corner from the edge of the box. The fourth came from Wolsey Sloan Kelly who converted a great through ball from Cathal Byrne. The second half was a more even affair, Shillelagh got two goals of their own from two well struck free kicks. Rovers were less clinical in front of the goal but still managed to score twice more with a lovely lob by Dan Farrell and a penalty won and converted by Cillian Czwalina. A fine victory in a good all round team performance.
