Our under 12A's travelled to take on Coolboy Rangers this morning in what proved to be a very exciting and tough encounter. Both teams started well with the deadlock being broken ten minutes in when Will Carey delivered a delightful free kick into the box that deceived everyone including the Coolboy keeper. Coolboy were level within a few minutes after a through ball to their striker was slotted home into the net. Rovers took a 2-1 lead in the final minute of the half when Eoghan Daye pulled back a lovely ball across the face of the goal to find Mikey O'Neill for a tap in. Rovers increased their lead within minutes of the restart when Kevin Yan dribbled past two defenders and cooly shot the ball past the Coolboy keeper. Coolboy then pulled one back when they caught out the Rovers rearguard with a well executed counter attack. In the final minute Coolboy equalised when they were awarded a free kick just outside the box and the Coolboy striker found the net with his direct effort. 3-3 it finished and we look forward to another great tussle when these sides meet in a couple of weeks.
